Born in Ukraine, Nastasia Y (formerly Stacey Y) is an eclectic artist living in Toronto, Canada. She plays keyboards and sings in various styles and languages, and is known for fusing Eastern European folk music with contemporary arrangements, electronic textures, jazz, and other influences from around the world. She released her first album 'Set The Water Straight' in English under the stage name Stacey Y. From there, she began to explore her culture, starting the fusion project DoVira (meaning “trust” in Ukrainian), releasing the ‘Obrys’ EP, followed by the ‘DoVira’ album. Apart from her group Nastasia Y & DoVira, she performs with the all-female folk ensemble BLISK, she is the founder & CEO of StereoFlavour Live Entertainment, and she was a featured vocalist in the award-winning show Orphan Black. Nastasia’s most recent release is the electronic EP ‘III', and she is currently working on her next solo album.
